{Infographic} WordPress: The Birthday Tribute

2003 delivered many wonderful (“Lord of the Rings: Return of the King”) and strange things (ugh…Newlyweds on MTV) to our lives. One thing you probably won’t find on an ‘03 pop culture list is the birth of our favorite content management system: WordPress!

Back in the day, websites had to be built from scratch. This meant paying a developer to not only design and launch your site, but also maintain it. It was about as painful as baking cookies from scratch. With the introduction of WordPress, companies could take a more “Pillsbury Cookie Dough” approach to the whole web design game. No need for complicated baking instructions; Just pop that tube open and dig in! Before WordPress, the thought of building a website or blog specifically tailored for your company was almost (but not completely) unheard of.

Luckily, WordPress is providing every flavor of industry with the tools to improve your site’s structure and search engine optimization. So happy birthday, WordPress! We look forward to seeing what mad-awesome advancements you show us in the next 10 years.
